Last October we had plans to do Courtney’s maternity photos outdoors in all the Colorado fall colors….well, mother nature had other plans and dumped a TON of snow on Denver. When Courtney mentioned shooting at her friends incredible apothecary, I jumped at the chance and it was everything I imagined it would be.

We let Theo play and check out the fish tank…which was in a clawfoot tub, mind you! We found the perfect little pockets of light thanks to the white snow falling and creating the most magical reflector and made some pretty incredible images.

Tomorrow I am heading to their home to photograph this little babe who is now earth side and I cannot wait. It is such an honor to watch and document the growth of families. Life is good.
